2025 Bagru Collection

Bagru fabric prints are traditional block prints from Bagru, a town near Jaipur in Rajasthan, India. These prints are known for their natural dyes, earthy colors, and use of hand-carved wooden blocks.

1. Bagru Dabu Print

  • A resist dyeing technique using mud (dabu) to create patterns before dyeing the fabric.

2. Bagru Syahi Begar Print

  • Uses black (syahi) and red (begar) natural dyes on a cream or off-white base.

3. Bagru Indigo Print

  • Features traditional Bagru patterns printed with natural indigo dye.

4. Bagru Floral Print

  • Common motifs include flowers, vines, and leaves—usually hand-blocked with natural colors.

5. Bagru Booti Print

  • Small floral or geometric motifs (booti), often repeated in symmetrical patterns.

6. Bagru Jaal Print

  • Intricate network (jaal) of floral or foliage motifs, creating a dense, overall pattern.

7. Bagru Leheriya or Wave Print

  • Wavy stripe patterns, sometimes combined with Bagru-style block motifs.

8. Bagru Geometric Print

  • Includes checks, zigzags, and other simple shapes with traditional symmetry.

Each of these prints involves hand-carved wooden blocks, natural dyes (like indigo, madder, turmeric), and age-old techniques passed down through generations.
